Probably the best restaurant in Povoa de Varzim / Vila do Conde area, with excellent music on the night I went. Thoroughly recommend.

Great & unique restaurant in Povoa de Varzim. I was pleasantly surprised with the cosy & stylish atmosphere and excellent staff who was very helpful & knowledgeable, always trying to comply with our wishes. Very balanced and wonderfully presented food - all freshly prepared with local ingredients, well priced! Great choice and quality of wines for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend 505 especially if you want to experience something extraordinary and feel special! The restaurant is quite hidden and might be difficult to find it but be patient and give it a try - it's really worth it! The only thing I would improve is to give guests more time in between each dish and also have the menu written in more languages, primarily in English.

Good food and good quality. A must go to...

We've had a pleasant experience at 505 (Sep 2016). Great menu and chosen dishes cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and polite, and made us feel at ease. The suggested wine matched our dishes well and was superb! The dinning room offers good ambiance and decor, background music and balanced lighting. The experience is honestly priced and feels comfortable whether you are dining out with friends or as a romantic treat. Slight downside was only having a menu in Portuguese, so if you are not familiar with local cuisine/can't speak the language you may struggle a bit placing your order. This would be easily avoidable have they had English and French menus at least. Overall a great experience and would recommend if you are in the area. Expect to spend around $100/couple.

Fancy Fusion A lovely dining experience from start to finish. Automatically giving breads, dips, olives and drinks to start with straight away while going through the menu. Unfortunately it’s not in English so you will have to google translate or ask them for help. Our dishes were absolutely delicious, a fusion of Portuguese food and the wine complimented our meal. Service was friendly, overall a little pricey but a top restaurant to try.
