★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in Sagres earlier this month (January) and were walking around looking for a place to eat, but nothing was open. Then we saw A Casinha. Simple and elegant on the inside, the food was absolutely delicious. I had the skate and my partner had cod. Yum!

But when we sat, the waiter made a very unpolite and unfortunate comment about us to the couple sitting in the table right next to ours and he took his time to take note of our order. I would say this is very unprofessional and even though food is really good it made our dinner very uncomfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has been our favorite Portuguese restaurant our whole trip!!! Upscale service done with a delightful and personal touch of someone who really cared about the art of the experience. We laughed we enjoyed we were entertained by learning about the house speciality — a Cataplano for two — and green wine. Vibe was great. Outdoor seating with glimpses of the sun setting given the location on the West side of town. TIP: Try the Cataplano — fabulous and fun! And for desert — the traditional fig and cacao dessert with an espresso!
