A lovely family run / owned restaurant where they speak good English and are very friendly.
Day menu for €11.50 which includes bread and olives, a main dish of fish or meat, a pudding a drink, coffee and pudding. Today it was five freshly grilled mackerel with potatoes and salad or pork ribs with chips and salad. Pudding was chocolate mouse or caramel pudding.
An absolute BARGAIN!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Portuguese food. All the customers are locals which is always a good sign . Puri piri chicken is fantastic as are the kebabs . Best food we ate in Caroveiro and very good value . 10/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow and unfriendly service, fish of the day was more like fish of last month as it wasn’t fresh at all and paid 15 euros for each of these dishes.
Vegetarian spaghetti had vegetables that seemed to be cooked twice or more, dare I say, scraped from other dishes as it came with 2 bits of chicken on it! Absolutely horrendous the whole experience. Paid a bill of over 64 euros and never again!

Sardines were great. The chicken kabab was fantastic.
