★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant has a house speciality called A Tomahawk Steak. It is over a kilo in weight and is served for two people at 50 euro The meat is truly of the highest standard and the flavour of the spices used enhance what is awesome steak
The best we have eaten in Portugal bar none and would have no hesitation in returning and ordering same again. It is complimented by shredded pickled cabbage and house chips. The staff are also all superb and well worth their gratuity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing restaurant! I visited in low season, which gave me the chance to meet the owners Reis and Anailia, a lovely couple and super friendly! We've talked a lot and what a nice place they have created in the last 22 years. The food was really tasty (aged steak) and the red wine from the area completed the meal. I would definitely go again. A wonderful start of my short trip in Portugal. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best steak I've ever had! It was huge so we shared it, not sure we could have managed one each! Lovely place tucked away from the madding crowd. We stayed at Agua Hotels Riverside so this was only a ten minute walk from there. Really worth a visit, not just for the steak though as the staff were so welcoming and you really felt at home here. It was so good that we will be returning before the end of our holiday - probably for more steak ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely find. Tried this restaurant for the first time and were very happy. It was quiet, but it was a Monday in January. Had a good chat with the lovely husband and wife team and they looked after us very well. The food was lovely and freshly made, the local wine also was very good. Overall a very pleasant experience and well worth another visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We waited for an hour and a half for food that was nothing to go crazy about - despite the place being almost empty. Staff is overly friendly, but the owner offered nothing but excuses when we made them aware of how long we were waiting.
The food is okay, but overpriced considering its simplicity and comparing to other local spots.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had dinner here on a weekday evening together with our one-year-old son. We both ordered steak (served with fries, rice and salad) as recommended by the owner, and were extremely pleased with the quality of meat. The price was stated upfront and was more than fair for the cuts of meat we received. The house red wine was excellent as well. Moreover, the owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us and our child. We really enjoyed our dinner here and would love to return here next time we're in the region!
