The hotel is owned by my friend Sean's parents. I had my best holiday here. Highly recommend this hotel to travelers who want to experience Portuguese countryside!

Lovely house with wonderful rooms. The pool area in the back is wonderful. The host, Robert, is friendly, helpful and a good cook. The breakfast is simple and filling and dinners are feasts. Rob wet has an extensive library of maps and can offer lots of advice on hiking in the region.

What can I say? Robert the owner is a FANTASTIC host, so kind and interesting, super professional and not only a "Jack of All Trades", but in fact a master, the dinner was a feast, the music was nice, the hotel is very well looked after, it's also truly refreshing and inspiring to see someone take so much pride in their work. Onto the hotel itself, the building, it's been beautifully restored maintaining all the cool features of the historical architecture while still having a nice level of comfort. The WiFi could be a little better, if anyone from the hotel is reading this, take a look at TP-Link Mesh WiFi sets, they're inexpensive and would make it perfect, still the WiFi, especially for this type of Rural Accommodation is by no means bad, in fact I'd say it's rather good. The village itself feels like a medieval time capsule, at least for a somewhat Urbanite like myself, it's amazing, it's so tiny, with only 35 permanent residents, and cute.
