★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It would have been nicer if at least some of the traditional Alentejo dishes from the menu were available as 1 portion without having to order it in advance for a minimum of 4 people. Without that we are just left drooling for what could have been a wonderful meal, having to replace with more common and less exquisite dishes...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good family restaurant - classic old European - fish & meats are in the case to be seen. Sit down & they bring you bread & salad. Potato & veg side came without discussion. Clearly a local favorite as 1/2 restaurant filled with well known friends or family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local food an hospitality. I'm Belgian and peculiar about beer but he nails it. Food was far beyond any expectation, best in a long time. Absolute must. Please be humble. They are here for their locals but smile and cater to you with a smile.

Secluded little restaurant serving nothing but the best from Alentejo cuisine, accompanied by the region's most famous wines like the ones from "Herdade da Maroteira".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I visited Lisbon I wad rekommended this restaurant when I asked a local about a good restaurant with genuine Portuguese food. I have to say that it was the best food I had during my trip to Portugal.
Having the best sallad I have eaten in a very long time was a good start of the meal.
