We where so lucky to find this gem in our trip to Lisbon. It was everything we wanted and more. Relaxed ambience, simple and delicious local dishes at reasonable prices and excellent service. The owner, Ben, really made us fell welcome. We totally recommend it.

Extremely good. Every dish we had on the table was absolutely amazing. The guys ran out of octopus & baby squid, but it was even for the better for us as we had a chance to try more unusual dishes. Simply extraordinary cooking and the atmosphere is so positive. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we'd love to come back here.

One of the most underrated / overlooked places I’ve been to in Lisbon. Went to dinner at 6:30pm on a Saturday and there were only a couple tables occupied. Order the octopus and pork cheeks - absolutely fantastic. The service was also incredibly warm and hospitable. Would 100% go again when I’m in Lisbon.

I wanted to share a story about the incredible couple who run this restaurant. (Unfortunately I did not dine here, as I was only in Lisbon for one day on a "layover", but definitely will next time.) I was in a difficult situation a couple weeks ago, when after an exhausting day travelling from Iceland, I was locked out of my self-check in hotel a couple doors down. It was past midnight, I had come downstairs to pick up food delivery in my t-shirt and shorts with no wallet and a dying phone, and had left the key in my room. I went around town to hotels to see if anywhere would take me in, but there are laws preventing hotel sales the night of past midnight. I saw that there were a couple people still in the restaurant, and asked if I could use the charger as my phone was on the verge of dying. The couple who run this restaurant was there, with a friend who happened to be visiting from Spain. Without hesitating, they told me to sit down, let me charge my phone, and even offered me a beer. They ended up helping me for over an hour until the situation could be resolved. During the course of the hour, they made me feel a home and we had some great conversation. It was truly generous of them to help a complete stranger late at night, and to make sure that I was okay. It seems from other reviews that the food here is incredible, but I just wanted to share this story so others can know that the people that run this place are incredibly kind as well.

The food was amazing! Great wine, super friendly staff and overall amazing atmosphere. Everything was delicious but our favorite dish was definitely the cheese with honey... Worth a visit!!!

Loved the pork cheek, the eggs with Portuguese sausage, and the octopus. i really reasonable for the quality and quantity that I had.

There's something special about a small privately owned restaurant where the owners serve you, and this did not disappoint. We shared the octopus (great texture, a little too salty for me), black sausage (amazing flavour), codfish (great, the addition of a crunchy bread topping was perfect), eggs en meurette (red wine sauce, very different for us, we enjoyed it), and pork cheeks which was a real winner. Super tender and a beautiful sauce, which my husband would've happily drunk! The dessert of caramel cheesecake was the icing on the cake. A nice small portion, really fresh cheese, and the sauce was not very sweet at all, which I loved. The ppl who run this (and I wish I'd gotten their names) are clearly very passionate about what they do, which was reflected in their service and hospitality.
