ABSOLBAR is located on the main street in Montechoro – Albufeira: – Av. Dr. Sá Carneiro, 151. This street is also known internationally as “The Strip” going from the Hotel Montechoro at the top, down to the beautiful “Praia d’Oura Beach” at the bottom. The Strip extends for a kilometer, features a constant variety of international entertainment and is reknowed as the most popular area of the Algarve for all ages.
ABSOLBAR was founded in Easter 1995 (Absolut Bar), by portuguese-norwegian couple Paulo and Gry Lopes, with the intention of providing a truly local and international flavour within the bar. In our opinion we feel that we have achieved this, and hope with the help of You, our esteemed customers and friends to continue this service.
ABSOLBAR has a variety of attractions which will certainly continue to capture old and new friends and customers. Watch in comfort all the latest and major sporting events on our giant screens.Sing on the most up to date and advanced karaoke machine in the Algarve with the latest releases and the good old classics.
Complete the ambience with a specially prepared drink or cocktail by our internationally recognised barman Paulo Lopes (winner National Champion in Cocktails 1989 – Martini – , 6th place in the World Championships 1989 and 3rd place Norwegian Championships 1994).
