★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um dos sítios onde mais gosto de ir em Guimarães quando está bom tempo. Não pela extrema atenção ao cliente, não pela cozinha fina, mas sim pela tradicionalidade dos pratos e pela simplicidade. Também pelo sossego, se não for fim de semana ou dias de festa.
 One of the places I like to go most in Guimarães when the weather is nice. Not for the extreme attention to the customer, not for the fine cuisine, but for the traditionality of the dishes and the simplicity. Also for peace of mind, if it's not weekend or party days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a find. Went up to Penha mountain with the Guimaraes cable car and was thirsty and hungry. Avoided the regular cafes and down a flight of stone steps I found this authentic experience. Women frying sardines and baking -- in a wood fire -- the flat breads that serve as plates. They also serve "caldo verde" (green broth), chourico and codfish cakes. Sit there in the shade and enjoy the simple but tasty fare with a beer or wine.
