Excellent place to eat, you will not regret. Food taste and quality is exception. The steaks are some of the best i have had in Portugal. I Had a great time.

Outstanding sympathy and a very good atmosphere. Our food was without salt but probably a lapse as the quality of the for itself was good. Maybe slightly expensive.

Biggest disappointment of this holiday. Go to Cova de Velha! Had an amazing lunch and dinner there for half the amount here and great service. It’s just down the road. For whos interested: Reserved a few days up ahead (highest rated place here and fully booked) and we were looking forward to eating here on our last evening. Not only was this the most expensive meal we had during this holiday, it was also the least good. Ordered medium rare T Bone, received it absolutely well done. Only a “sorry” was given and fully charged even though I had 3 bites of it. It was like eating a leather shoe. If this were my restaurant I would have offered free desert or something. Also got charged with cheese olives and bread that were already on the table when we came in (completely dry). Apparently you have to tell the waiter to take it away if you don’t want to pay for it. Would have been nice to know this up ahead.

Very good fresh food. Vegetables come from there own garden and you taste that. The family is very friendly and the selfmade rose wine can I recommend!

I wanted to give it 4 and a half stars, but Google only allows full stars and this review is closer to a 5 than a 4. The restaurant is super pretty, quiet, very typically furnished and designed. The waitress that attended our table was super nice and her English was spot on. The food is where I would take half a star away from top rating. The food was very tasty and well cooked, but me and my gf had a steak and a filet of bacalhau (codfish) that could've been better seasoned. The bacalhau was too salty and still tasted a bit like the sea. I had bacalhau multiple times but this one was a bit weird. The steak lacked seasoning. The salad was delicious! Desert was also very nice and in the end the waitress offered us a shot of ginginha. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious home cooked food. Very friendly staff and with well spoken English. Not much choice for seafood but plenty of meat. All of it cooked over real charcoal grill. The place has stone walls and high ceiling.

The grilled octopus was perfect! Ambiance is very comfy and warm, the people running the place very friendly and accommodating. While the menu is mostly meat, they can prepare a vegetarian meal, you just have to ask which is what my companion did.
