★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recomendado por um amigo à muito tempo cliente da casa, decidi almoçar nesta conhecida casa em Gondomar na beira do rio Douro.
Das quatro opções que haviam para o almoço, acabei por comer papas de sarrabulho e rojões. As papas estavam boas, os rojões não achei nada de especial e a batata frita aos cubos que acompanhava não estava no ponto.
Contudo, esta casa tem uma vista maravilhosa para o Douro e vou regressar em breve para experimentar sável no espeto, arroz de cabidela e arroz de lampreia, muito famosos aqui.
Recommended by a long-time customer friend of the house, I decided to have lunch at this well-known house in Gondomar on the banks of the Douro River.
Of the four options for lunch, I ended up eating sarrabulho and rojões. The porridge was good, the rojões I didn't find anything special and the diced fries that came with it weren't on point.
However, this house has a wonderful view of the Douro and I will be returning soon to try shad on skewers, cabidela rice and lamprey rice, very famous here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place for a mid-day lunch. They have really good, affordable and tasty "daily specials". For larger groups (minimum 8 people) you can request fancier meals, for example: arroz de cabidela.
The owner is a really nice guy that will certainly make you have a great time there.
