The square, partially surrounded by bars and restaurants, is lovely especially when live music is being played and its great to be able to sit back, enjoy a few drinks in the sunshine whilst listening to the music and watching the world pass slowly by. The quaint side streets host a wide variety of local shops, which are a pleasure to browse through. The wider precinct is home to more modern shops and easily accessible. The views from the each front restaurants are breath taking, especially at sunset. All in all, a lovely place to visit and relax

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the morning hours very quiet. Not all the shops and restaurants are open at this time. But plenty to have a nice breakfast or lunch. The beach is beautiful and the people are nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small Portuguese town with an unmistakable Portuguese style buildings and houses and cobbled streets that has lots of Interesting places and small narrow streets to explore, with some good bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and deli's with lots of history that are quite cheap. There are signs around explaining some of the towns history and residents. Many Old style Portuguese buildings with churches to see with entrances to albufeira old town and albuferia beach. Parking available or taxi stand and buses near by. Can get very busy in the summer. Quiet in winter time with some places closed.
