Boa comida, gentes afáveis e uma paisagem original. Uma das tradicionais características são os arrozais que circundam estas bonita terra Alentejana. Quem fizer Chaves - Faro pela N2, não deixe de fazer um desvio e visitar Alcácer do Sal. Vale a pena. Place where I have been during my travels through this Portugal. For those traveling from North to South, Alcácer is a mandatory stop. Good food, friendly people and an original landscape. One of the traditional features are the rice fields that surround this beautiful Alentejo land. If you travel to Chaves - Faro on the N2, be sure to take a detour and visit Alcácer do Sal. It's worth it.

Very busy when visiting today, with some nice street restaurants overlooking the river. It seems to have a lot of residences being updated, and I am sure this little spot will grow in popularity, being less than an hour from Lisbon, and en-route to fantastic beaches at Comporta.
