Têm restaurante com esplanada, marmitas e take away!
Almaré is a vegetarian restaurant worth trying out. The food is delicious and prepared with great detail and flavor. The soup is fantastic and the dishes are a feast of flavors. I do not advise those who like traditional meat and fish food, as they do not have these options. Vegetarian/vegan food is for those who really like this type of cuisine. See the photos and enjoy. They have a restaurant with a terrace, lunchbox and take away!

Tasty but very very overpriced. Not only comparing to Portuguese prices but also compared to London prices.

Go here for the vegetarian food, not anything else. Very small "restaurant" run by two people - a cooker and a waiter. They're nice but something happened that I didn't like: The waiter told us that there was the daily dish available, however when the order arrived the table, we found that the portion was so so small that it could be my 3 years old dish. We complained and the waiter told us that due to high demand for the daily dish, they reduced the portion to allow it for more customers... ...but guess what? The price was the same!!! All wrong in it: - first we should have been warned about the "smaller version" of the daily dish, and; - second the price should have been reduced as well. The only thing positive was in fact the dishes being tasteful. Menu with prices around 8,00€. [UPDATE] At the time there was a promotion going on "50% discount for people booking a table through TheFork app". WE DIDN'T BOOK THROUGH THE APP, so upfront, I knew there was no discount. After I paid and checked the bill, I realised we paid much less than it was supposed to. I got back inside the restaurant and asked the waiter "Why we paid such small amount? Was there a discount BECAUSE THE PORTION WAS SO SMALL?" The waiter, AS SHE STATED "made a confusion with another booking that didn't show up and MISTAKENLY applied the discount to our table", because we also booked a table (but not through TheFork). So we got a discount by a waiter's mistake, not by courtesy/apologize for serving such small portions. Independently of that, a discount should never change the nature of the product/service being provided.

The seafood dish was bland... lacking spices a steak was not tender - perhaps over cooked.

We were on our way to sintra with our little son (2 months old), and I saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor as a nearby vegetarian option. And it was the best decision!!, the owner is super nice and the waitress too, they helped us choose a vegan and vegetarian dish of the day. A bean stew and a typical Portuguese dish with potatoes and leek. It was delicious! We had two deserts as well a mousse and a brownie with papaya ice cream (both vegan) and a coffee. Really delicious and filling meal! And not expensive at all. Really worth the visit!(they even have a baby changing Staton :)
