★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this restaurant numerous times during our extended autumn holiday and left satisfied every time. The interior is traditional with a quirky twist and was always very busy and full of locals.
We tried various dishes both Prato de dia and from the a la carte menu and enjoyed them all. We especially enjoyed the Steak, Bacalhao com Nata and the baked apple, especially when washed down with a very drinkable house wine. All for a very reasonable cost so we will definitely be dining here again on our next visit to Tomar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cosy familiar traditional style. The food is absolutly awsome, every dish i tried was very well done . Really feels like home made. The customer service is also excelent, people are very friendly and welcoming and so is the decoration.

My wife prefers ambience, I like my food to taste good! The Alpendre fulfils both requirements! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and add to the experience, which this was! All other customers were Portuguese locals, says it all really?
