★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During a week in an apartment in Lisbon we very much enjoyed the local cafe's and restaurants. We also like occasionally to prepare our own meals from local ingredients and found that Amanhecer provided an excellent one-stop shop for good quality groceries, meat, wines and non-food items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the only chain supermarket in the downtown area. It is small and a bit cramped but it has everything you are looking for to cook at your place. It also has a deli counter in the back along with the fresh fruits and vegetables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ great service, good for the basics - I went at the end of the day so a lot of the fresh veggies were gone, but I would definitely recommend it for staples, and they have a little deli there with ready-cooked meals, too!

Other than that it’s a regular supermarket selling local necessities.
