Situado na zona norte do Jardim do Passeio Alegre, foi projetado no XVIII pelo arquiteto Nicolau Nasoni e transferido, posteriormente, para a sua atual localização, em 1869. Algumas fontes históricas indicam que o chafariz era parte integrante do extinto Convento de S. Francisco, atual Palácio da Bolsa.
 Granite fountain classified as a national monument. Located in the north of Jardim do Passeio Alegre, it was designed in the 18th century by architect Nicolau Nasoni and later transferred to its current location in 1869. Some historical sources indicate that the fountain was an integral part of the extinct Convento de S. Francisco, current Palace of the Stock Exchange.
