Devido ao seu porte fora do comum foi classificada como Árvore de Interesse Público por Decreto publicado no Diário do Governo a 6 de Novembro de 1942. Alguns dados relativos à azinheira: 15 metros de altura, 25 metros de diâmetro da copa e 4,10 metros de perímetro à altura do peito.
Imposing example of holm oak that impresses with its size, and considered one of the most imposing holm oaks in the country. Due to its unusual size, it was classified as a Tree of Public Interest by Decree published in the Government Gazette on November 6, 1942. Some data on holm oak: 15 meters high, 25 meters diameter of the crown and 4.10 meters. perimeter at breast height.
