★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traverser la ville pour trouver de vraies azulejos .. un régal ! malheureusement l atelier était fermé.. mais bien décidée à repartir avec ces magnifiques petits bouts du portugal je suis allée au lisbon shop ( très touristique ) . Son travail est admirable et beau ! Un vrai goût de lisboa !
Cross the city to find real azulejos .. a treat! unfortunately the workshop was closed .. but decided to leave with these beautiful little bits of Portugal I went to the lisbon shop (very touristy). His work is admirable and beautiful! A real taste of lisboa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Petite boutique un peu à l’écart dans une ruelle étroite, idéale pour repartir avec un souvenir portugais, les fameux azulejos ! Vous les trouverez ici sous une forme plus moderne mais avec toujours le même artisanat. Et puis les vendeuses sont d’une gentillesse rare ! Très belle surprise !
Small shop a little out of the way in a narrow alley, ideal for leaving with a Portuguese souvenir, the famous azulejos! You will find them here in a more modern form but still with the same craftsmanship. And then the saleswomen are extremely kind! Very nice surprise!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some friends were visiting from the States and we met Vanessa quite by chance at local restaurant. They now have some beautiful tiles in their home in Albuquerque, NM, and so do I. Lovely hand-painted tiles, charming service, charming place in a charming part of (old) town.
