★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was amazing! We went with our local friends who know the chef and come there once a while. I see some comments about high prices, dish of the day is 7.5€ and portions are enormus.
As soon as you seat they offer local cheese, olves in garlic and jam for table...you can take or leave it.
It was 4 of us and we got 4 dishes with few glasses of wine, coke, water, tea for 57€.

The grilled octopus and the Vela de bacalhau were delicious.
For desert we had “creme brûlée “ and “pear with wine” delicious too.

The prices are between 8 euros and 13 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to try a local Portuguese restaurant and Bacalhau did not disappoint! I found the food so delicious. I ordered the octopus with rice and the portions were generous and reasonably priced.
They have food menus in several languages (English, French, Spanish and German) which could be helpful.
Definitely worth visiting if you want affordable local food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surely not a too touristic place. It’s an authentic Portuguese restaurant, the food is good and tasty, portions are big and the staff is nice and attentive. Good ratio quality/price. If you like bacalau you won’t be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Portuguese restaurant with affordable prices and attentive service. Portions are huge, and quality is better comparing to other Portuguese restaurants in the area. We ordered two mains, plate of cheeses and a salad, and were not able to finish it. It was very tasty, just so much food.
