Baixa Hotel

one of best hotel in whole Portugal not just in braganca. Everything is well clean perfect. The staff is much helpful and the way to Attend you is super nice . When anybody have to visit braganca book baixa hotel ????

Claudia!!!!! Are you watching this?!? The best hotel! Everyone is so nice! Specially Claudia! who is in the reception! She is the best. haha she is so funny and friendly. Even she brought me to a cafe! Because i couldn't find a cafe there. so nice I went to a lot of hostel hotel during i was hiking whole spain, portugal. but i can tell you this hotel is the best hotel. Breakfast was so good. Bed was so comfortable. there is no noise.

I had a horrible night there. And next day the owner even threatened and insulted me!! I left to a friendly place. .... I posted my review on booking.com and got his most angry and aggressive phone call. After I switched off he even sent me a message! I have copied my booking review and his reaction. Also two fotos that he managed to suppress in booking. Baixa hotel is just a money making machine. Rip off. Better to stay away from this very small Bragança down town. My review: "Most Horrible Night - I asked for a quiet single room. Got a chamber under the roof with a tiny window, bed, bathroom. A bottle of self-filled tap water was available. The night was terrible: party noise until morning. And then room service began cleaning the vacant rooms. I changed the hotel immediately! How do these optimistic evaluations come about ??? Just a detail photo of the shower!

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A great breakfast and a very modern room with a view of the citadel. All very clean and new. I would recommend to anyone.

I think it is not fair that it is only a two star hotel. Very good breakfast with a wide choice, very clean, provides everything a traveller needs. But what is most noteworthy are the people who work in it. When the traveller is facing difficulty, they won't leave them alone. They are there to assist. Thank you my friends!

This is a hotel you must stay in, when you visit Bragança. First I will talk about the hotel and then the personnel. In the center of Bragança you approach through a beautiful narrow road, which means you are near everything but still so quiet and calm. The breakfast was excellent. My room had a spacious toilet-bathroom, hot water in 5 seconds and a hairdryer, not the one stuck at the wall, but easy to use, strong to dry everything quickly. The bed had a fantastic mattress, and although I have backbone problems, it was so comfortable that really amazed me. There was a wardrobe, and all furniture was very functional. The room was sunny and bright since it had three windows. It was clean and had a Fujitsu air-condition in a place not to disturb you. Well all these you can find in a very good hotel. The thing that makes the great difference is the people that run the business. From the beginning I noticed a great hospitality but after some days, when I got sick, it was then I really understood that all these wasn't just professionalism but something greater, coming from the bottom of their good heart. A kindness that still can't believe that exists. I am Greek and we boast that "we have invented hospitality". After all, Xenios Zeus is known for the hospitality and he was the first in order, God in our mythology. Well I have visited almost every country in Europe and of course Greece. This kindness really amazed me and made me believe that there is still hope, in this world where political and financial interests tend to transform people , if not cruel, at leat indifferent for the rest of the people. David, the owner and Rita, the receptionist are two exceptional persons you must meet. And the last... The day I left, Rita offered to drive me with her car to the bus station, and carried my luggage, because she knew I was still weak. Who does that??? And the best of all, is when you thank them, they don't understand that is something exceptional, because they feel they should be there to help. Rita and David thank you again. I will be back to your beautiful town and your hospitable hotel.

Very clean and spacious room for an overnight stay. We enjoyed a room with a view of the castle. We did not partake in the breakfast as we chose to go to a local cafe before heading out early. Very centrally located, walking distance to the castle and downtown center for dinner.
