★ ★ ★ ★ ★ **Avoid going on Sundays especially in large groups!!**
We were a group of 8. Two of us ordered the family menu and they forgot our orange juice which we waited 30min extra for and we had to wait 45min extra for our pancakes which we had to ask for multiple times. The entire table was done eating when they served that. They also forgot one cappuccino and served one person's meal 10min after everyone else had their food.
Overall, food was good but the service was extremely poorly managed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This would have been a 5 review as the environment is great and new, the food is stylish and tasty, but the service is best described as "disorientated". When we arrived in this great space, we asked that since we were short in time could we still get our lunch in time. In the end, it took 30 min from the moment we ordered until the moment we received our meal... and that was with prompting the staff. When our food arrived, it was actually cold! Suggesting of course that it had been prepared by the kitchen on time, but then sat there waiting to be served for quite some time. Overall, I am very disappointed in what could have been a promising experience that the food is let down by a service approach that can be best described as "not my job".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasteful food, lots of good options on the menu and such an amazing atmosphere make Balthazar one of the best brunch spots in Lisbon IMO. The table service has to improve though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The menu was only available in Portuguese. So we needed a little longer to order. We had an avocado toast and a Caesars chicken salad. The food was quite tasty but on the menu wasn’t mentioned that there’s bacon crumble on the salad, which was kind of disappointing because my friend doesn’t eat pork. But overall good and coffee was very good. Thumbs up ??♀️
