Banana Beach House Lagos

Having booked my stay in Lagos in a hurry, I had no idea what to expect. Banana beach house made sure I had a good time. The beds offered so much privacy that I didn’t even feel like I was in a dorm, and the location made it easy to explore all the beaches and bars that are a stroll away. I surfed on a few day excursions organised by the hostel to world famous beaches. The hardest part was peeling myself away from the terrace where great food, cheap beers and sangria were served up by Jason and Anna… the true gems of the hostel, who can’t do enough to help. The atmosphere in the place was great every evening where the staff and residents built the kinds of friendships you can only hope to find on your travels. Can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to be back.

The Banana Beach House is the best hostel in Lagos if you enjoy a small family style hostel. The ambience is super laid back and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you would like to book a tour or excursion they can set you up, as well as provide surfboards + transport if you want to go surfing. If you're a beginner I'd recommend doing the surf week where you'll have 5 days (out of 7) of lessons including board, wetsuit, transportation & breakfast, + lunch + dinner. The hostel is located just outside the town centre (12 minutes walk) but right next to the beach (2 minutes walk) with little traffic so you'll have a good night's rest. The common area is a great place to meet other likeminded travelers or to hang out in after a day of hard work on the beach. The family dinner brings everyone together where you'll get a full plate of delicious food + sangria for next to nothing! If I come back to Lagos I'll definitely stay here again.

Excellent hostel for your holidays in Portugal! I have found the most energetic vibe thanks to the great staff that has provided for everything I needed. Will definitely come back next year!

We went in Lagos with a group of friends and we stayed at Banana Beach House which was great! Clean and tidy rooms, big spaces, very nice terrace with a full bar to spend the evening all together. The owner is very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend!

Everything was excellent in my stay at the hostel. For example thee food prepared by the managers, the ospitality, the kindness, the cleanliness and also the prices. The furnishings of the structure are also very sunny and positive. Excellent location for many reasons

I spent 4 nights in this beautiful hostel! I couldn't find a better place a better place than this during my trip. Jason is a very friendly owner together with Anna, they're so nice! They would do their best to make your stay in Lagos pleasant. I deeply recommend it!
