★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great sushi in Portugal. Delicious almond encrusted shrimp tempura. Very hipster location. Service was pretty solid. Temaki were made well. Sushi platter (maki & sashimi) was also very tasty. Cerviche was interestingly fresh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I saved the best for last. After trying all sushi and sashimi restaurants in Aveiro district, I finally tried Barba Azul (Blue Beard). Very small and cozy restaurant with high quality and delightful food with casual service. If you are near Aveiro, and you are into sushi you got to give this guys a try. Just be prepared to pay premium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste: 10 out of 10 best sushi I’ve had in the Aveiro region. But minus 1 star for portions & diluted soy sauce. Their wasabi was on point, but could be a bit stronger! ;) the Barba Azul Temaki was actually very tasty! When I 1st saw it I thought it might have been just loaded with rice only, but to my delightful surprise it was filled to the end of the cone with yumminess. Price point could be lower for the portions imo. The best part about this restaurant is that they serve a local fish! Do more local fish sashimi specials, rolls, etc & price it a bit lower~!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We all came to the consensus this is the best sushi we have ever tried. We ordered prawns as well as the chefs set of 25 rolls and another of 20 rolls four people. Every roll was very different and exploration of flavours. This is a must try! Service was excellent!
