★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful churches in Lisbon. It looks fantastic outside and the park in front the church my favorite. Nice interior with color marble everywhere. For 4€ you have a chance to get upstairs to see nice view and it possible to look inside of church from high balcony. But in the same time it is kinda pity that you can’t visit the patio, I would love to see it also. As not religious person, for me it was nice experience to see classic architecture of Portugal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive creamy white late baroque church with a truly spectacular “terrace” on the roof of the nave, which is like something out of a movie set. Price to climb the spiral stairs is just 3€, and a small door in the dome also gives you a scary view straight down into the church itself—be mindful of the loooooow balustrade and also the electric wires running around the edge of the roof to keep the birds away ⚡️?⚡️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too ornate or barroque as it is described, but indeed an interesting visit through the city. I can say that for religious people (I mostly visit churches out of historical curiosity) the place is peaceful and good for a meditation or prayer. The ornaments, statues and architecture are simple, but graceful. What mostly caught my attention was the ceiling, which is beautiful for a church of this size. Worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visiting this Basilica on January 1st was an excellent way to start the new year. It was very beautiful to view all the statues, architecture and paintings. It was also nice to be able to light two candles - one for my Dad and one for something else. A wonderfully spiritual moment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Known for the white exterior and dual bell-towers, Basílica da Estrela warrants a brief visit to view Queen Maria's tomb and an impressive pulpit. Less ornate than other churches in Lisbon, there is an outside terrace available for a small fee but the view is fairly limited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a beautiful building inside and out, seen from below and above. Gorgeous decorations, works of art painted and carved in stone. The combination of natural light from the dome and the artificial lighting covers the interior in a special mix of colours. The roof offers great views of Lisbon in all directions.
