★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The luxury architecture and rooms are interesting and nice, lots of history. Some of the presidential portraits look like they were painted by children ?. Our tour was supposed to be 45 mins long. It ended up being like 20 minutes. Definitely got short-changed there. Not that much to explore. They should open up more rooms and areas for tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous, historic art-chitecture. Friendly ticketing staff who spoke at least English, French and Portuguese.
You are required to see the place via a large (25ish person) tour so it felt hurried. English tour guide had positive energy but they were definitely conducting a scripted walk. Overall, the 30-minute tour was too short and could’ve benefited from more storytelling in addition to the factual info.
I would go back for the beauty of the place but I have a feeling there are a whole lot of rooms we didn’t see and info we didn’t hear.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice visit taking ~45min. The tour is mandatorily guided, but they have different languages (Portuguese, English, French, Spanish). The building has very beautiful rooms, especially the Arabic one. The building is still used nowadays and the tour guide explains the history of the place.
10e full price and 6.5 for students, a bit expensive for the length of the tour I thought but well, you need to pay the guide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is beautiful. The building and atmosphere is pleasing. You can get the transportation just infront and go around the city. Must visit. By the way. Don't take the tramp, it's not as you expect so may find disappointment later on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth visiting. You only need to pay €10 which comes with a guide tour in many different languages of your choice. Through the tour you get to learn about the history and the architecture. The meeting room is amazing, decorated in the exotic Moorish Revival style and intricate carvings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This "palace" houses the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. Because the only available option is the guided tour, one does not really have enough time to absorb the beauty of the building, but this did help us learn about its history (the enforcement of taking up a guided tour is understandable because the building is a workplace for the Chamber of Commerce, but I do wish they offered other options to pace it myself). They did not, however, stop us from taking a second look at some of the halls after the tour's end. There was another group touring the halls after us and we tried to steer clear so as not to disrupt them.
The climax of the tour is the Arabic room, at the very end. The doors to the room will be closed, so that the entrance into the room can be more dramatic.
