★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous and a must-see. You can take a bus from the Braga train station or,if you want to walk through town first, you can pick up a bus in multiple locations. When you get to your stop, you can either take a funicular up or walk up. Up top, the church is lovely and there are various trails and things to see.

3~4 hours was needed to see around.
It is recommended to check bus and tram time tables, because they are not operated frequently.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a very beautiful surprise to visit to see well taken care of the gardens and hear the bells ringing. Enjoy a stroll around a charming lake or rent boat for a nice romantic afternoon. Take the little train up the hillside. Just enjoy your day here and take a lot pictures and pack a picnic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the number 1 reason we came to visit Braga and it didn't disappoint. From the train station we took bus #2 ($1.55) to the end, then took the funicular/elevator ($1.5) to the top. We walked down and took tons of pictures of the stairs. Total visit time was about 90 minutes. Bus#2 again to the old town was easy and relaxing.
