★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great cheap and authentic bar. They do these delicious pastry things which come with salad and crisps for about 6 euros - try one because they were yummy. The banana and chocolate crumble was also excellent. Huge G&Ts for 4 euros. We liked it a lot.

First and foremost- the food... I got a substantial bowl of warm couscous which was topped with roasted vegetables, spinach and thick slices of real Parmesan cheese. My husband got the cod pastry, which was flavourful and filling. The red wine that we selected was full of body and texture. We got to decide between two wines at no extra cost.
The restaurant is tucked away along one of one of Lisbon's winding streets. The walls are painted a deep forest green and are lined with shelves of books. Loved the bohemian vibe.

- our waitress spoke English and helpfully translated the menu for us, as well as providing suggestions

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food with kind staff. Don't be shy to ask after the recommendations, because the menu was not translated into English. Or use a translator, but highly recommend to go there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place with cool esplanada (mind that orders are more expensive if you eat outside). It may take a lot of time for the waiter to arrive. Menu stands out from standart portuguese tascas offering variety of vegetarian plates as well. Food is fresh and good. I dont understand one thing however-which is why do they add potato chips instead of rice or french fries. Its not the best choice in terms of quality and taste but also it is windy there and your chips leave your plate with first strong blow?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a very unpleasant exchange with the waiter - I went in with three other friends to the bar and I wanted to ask if we could pull one chair from an unused table to another one so we could all sit together. After not really acknowledging our presence, I spoke to the waiter in Portuguese and he said we should sit because he was too busy. I understood he was stressed, so I said I just wanted to ask a question, I suggested to follow him to ask it and he answered “it’s not worth it I have too many people to serve”. I felt terrible after being shut down without a chance to even say anything so we just left.
