★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh as it gets, this market has it all: great produce (check D. Maria spot), fresh fish (in front of D. Maria), a whole cheese spot and delicious bread from a bakery make this market one of the best in Lisbon. There are other spots to see in there (florist, many produce and fish spots, etc.) and everybody is greeted with a smile. If quality produce is a must then this is the right market to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought fresh fish and shellfish plus vegetables, cheese, wine etc to take to our airbnb - keen to help and a friendly bunch. Mostly don't speak English but we got by with Google translate and other market stall holders helping out, a really great environment for Lisbon fresh food shopping
