Braga Historic Center Hostel

This a hostel and not that nice and expensive to share amenities and l find out that they are misrepresenting a rental apartment with the same name they just conveniently leave off "hostel" when referring to their place - very shady

Avoid, they cancelled put reservation on day we arrived at Braga

Cool and every thing neet and clean and host is also friendly person

Amazing location, good vibe, the hosts are always nice and helpful and great price. Also they have a kitchen if u want to make your own food

Loved it there. For a really good price you get here a great place to stay. Stuff and owner are very friendly and helpful with every question. That will be the place to be for me if I ever return to Braga.

This was a last minute booking and we were happy to find it. We reserved it through hostel world for 3€ and then paid 20.40€ cash on site. The common spaces are relaxing. The accommodations simple. Our host Elvis, was good natured and although he does not speak much English his friendliness made up for it. We surprised ourselves by deciding to stay an extra night. The location is great.

An incredibly atmospheric place. Clean, excellent location, great value for money. It was a real pleasure to sit on the shady, green balcony and meet fellow travelers.

I put one star because I cannot put less. First of all, we had a reservation in Braga Historic Center Hotel and the man that attended us told us they didnt have space in their hostel due to “covid restrictions”. Such thing didn't even make sense, due to the fact that we had already made a reservation via booking. They sent us to Dans L’Atelier (same owner but not same services at all). When we arrived, we had to wait half an hour for the same man that attended us earlier to appear and open the hostel. We had to wait an hour for them to prepare our room. The room we had to sleep had no heating and no lockers, one of the reasons why we got the hostel in the first place. Our room was with some hostel staff, which I think was because they had no more rooms and had to put us somewhere. We had to wait another hour in order to receive the keys to reenter the hostel later. The hostel did not have any breakfast service, as "Braga Historic Center Hostel" had stated and we chose also because of that service. At night, we had to sleep with two sweaters because of the cold temperature. There was no door in order to enter our room, therefore anyone from the hostel could enter and there wasn't any kind of privacy. Also, there were no windows on the room and smelled like dust everywhere (I have alergy to dust and now I'm sick). The bathrooms were disgusting and weren't clean at all. They didnt do check in or check out. We asked for four towels and we only received 3, which were torn and in a bad state. The bed linens were also broken and really thin, taking into account that it is still winter. The first night there was also someone trying to enter the hostel and ringing the door for an hour and a half and nobody opened. I would never recommend this hostel "Braga Historic Center Hostel" (the one we had booked and didn't even got to see in person) Worst experience.
