A nice place with so much more potential. We did stay in one of their tents for a couple of days. We booked some surf lessons and other activities in advance and couldn't get a confirmation when we arrived. Then when we finally got the dates, we tried to reschedule them for the next day and never got a confirmation. The staff seems very unmotivated, but forced to be friendly in a very strange feeling way. There is a small restaurant which serves good quality dinner and a decent breakfast for 7€ per person. There aren't many seats available though, so I can imagine getting some trouble finding a place in high season. There are also dogs barking the whole night which gets pretty annoying if you are trying to sleep.

Was there in June and stayed at a tent. Fantastic place, fantastic people and fantastic food. We had the warmest welcome from the team. Yoga classes are very nice. Surfing lessons are great as well. The instructures are professional and very helpful. Special thanks to @Gustavo! Surf equipment is very good. Highly recommended!

Veggie burger was below terrible. Cold frozen patte without any extras with undercooked fries. I bet some other dishes are better but I haven't tried

Bukubaki "Catfish" Resort Weekend Report: During the past month , i have been searching for a quite place for spend the weekend with my wife.  During the search we found the Bukubaki Eco Surf Resort 4*, after a research we found the place beautiful with some nice tree houses and tends, we decide to book for 2 nights the Canadian Room tend (14) for 110€ a night with breakfast included. We arrived at 21h30 , not very hard to get there as we have a gps. We went for the check-in as there was only one person at the reception we camly waited, upon the check-in the lady asked to pay the stay up front ( not very usual in my opinion) we paied. After the beuarocracy she gaves a map of the so called "resort", i asked for the activities maps where we found that there wasnt any activity included in the price, not even one. She told us that we needed to go to the restaurant to book our breakfast as she couldnt do that herself. After all those demands we were finally able to get our luggage from our car and go to our tend, we found the pavment extremly hard to use a trolley in it , and without any lights guideing the way we end up going to the terrace of a neighbourd tend so we decided to get the flashlights to helps us with the quest . The Tend: As soon as we arriving we saw a complete dark tend, again with the flashlight we found the switch on the floor, which we decided to light the christmas lights that were there, with ALL the cables just spread on the floor with no security at all. We were looking around and found there wasnt a plug available as we had to decide either use the heat and the bedlamp or take one to charge the phone. There wasnt any amenities available, no champoo, no toothpast, nothing. As well we couldnt find any storage for water( as there wasnt any in the room), as well no safe to put the passports and money( we decide to use the car as our safe) The tend was impossible to close as you could feel it opening during the night making it weird noises. Breakfast; We booked our breakfast. No one was there to recieve us . We sat down and a lady come and put the plates and left without saying a word. The buffett was poor, with a few selections of hot ( only bacon and eggs) the Orange juice was mixed with WATER . There were flies everywhere and no other options where offered.  No toaster, and no home made marmelads or gellies ( as so called ECO resort) that didnt made much sense. Restaurant We decide to go to an have a drink during the afternoon terrace , the pool was packed , with about 15 people with kids screaming and throwing stuff around. We order 2 cocktails it took about 25minutes for it to arrive. They werent bad. We order 2 more and we got the news that they run out of RUM at the hotel   with no other option available. We order something else. The staff in not trained, there is no supervisor or manager on sight, they catfish the guests thinking they are going to a Eco experience but end up in a overpriced tend with no services at all  ( they should call themselves Bukubaki Camping ) and the lack or improvement during my stay is alarming. Still trying to figure out where they situate themselves as 4*. Upon check out i asked to speak to manager , with all this happening i would guest the manager "wasnt" there and would call be back after, till today i am waiting on any kind of response. I DO NOT Recomend going there, its prefer to go to the local camping as you have the same facilities and you may found cheaper activities nearby. Lovely land( peniche) , awful "resort" . Please do your research when booking here as things are diferent that the marketing teams shows on social media.

I only came for the skate bowl, which is super smooth. And the location is amazing. The restaurant was also very good and the staff were friendly. Totally recommend to hang out in between surf sessions

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. It’s is true the price is pretty high for what you get. We stayed in a Canadian tent with our 1 year old daughter and we all slept so incredibly well, I was so pleased! We were not cold at all even though it was May, they have a space heater in the tents and that was all we needed. I had read the reviews and planned ahead and used white noise machine or pink noise on Spotify to cancel out the noise from the highway. The shared restrooms and showers were very very nice, towels included and shower gel only. I was disappointed the pool was not warmer. Nor the hot tub working. There is a very large skateboarding area. My husband enjoyed his surf lesson at a beach that is 15 min by car. The bikes are on a very busy road and almost 1.5 hours by bicycle. We did not feel safe taking the bikes out with the baby. I enjoyed a excellent massage. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The sun was just about to set, when me and my chess buddy came to skate the bowl. It was not lit up, so we fired up the chess board instead. After an e4 opening, a familiar face entered the room. It was Madars Apse, the fakie kickflip king. We exchanged smiles (with Madars) and rooks (with chess buddy). Overall a pleasant experience.

This place is awesome! went there to photograph a wedding from a surf couple and they couldn't have pick a better place to get marry. The cabin vibe, the short distance to one of the best beaches to surf in Portugal and the staff makes this a perfect place to come and spend a nice time.
