★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked an appointment at this salon after reading the good reviews. I have very long curly hair and I was looking for a hairdresser specialised in curly hair (usually hard to find) for a cut. I'm sorry to say that I was left a bit disappointed by the experience and the result. The staff was very friendly and attentive and I could see that they have experience with curly hair. In fact they gave me advice and shared knowledge on how to care for curls. However, they failed to deliver on my requests (beyond cutting the split ends I asked to increase volume at the roots, cut at the front to add lightness and movement). They did cut the split ends but left my old hair cut (from 3 years ago) almost untouched, keeping the pyramid effect and flat roots as they were. They applied a significant amount of leave-in moisturising cream on the whole length before drying my hair, which increased my usual curl definition on the ends but ended up weighing my hair down, making my roots even more flat and my scalp very greasy. This product is probably more suitable for dryer, frizzier hair - not for my type of curls or at least not to apply on the whole length, maybe only on the ends. I impulse-bought the cream for 17€, although the staff was not pushy to convince me. They didn't dry my hair fully with the hair dryer and diffuser, in fact I left feeling my hair still damp. The whole process took 2 hours (I was the only customer). A day later I had to wash my hair because it felt so oily (usually I wash it once a week). They charged 55€. I'm very sorry to say it was not the result I was expecting from a curl-specialised salon. Maybe my expectations were too high. It is my understanding that they know how to treat very dry, frizzy hair with high porosity but they didn't show much knowledge in caring for my type of curls.
