It's a cafe with outdoor tables, like a typical Portuguese cafe, but its interior can also be seen as a Portuguese pub. This is a place for a quick snack, to study, relax, enjoy the sun, meet friends, celebrate at evening... This is a cosmopolitan place, just like the university. It offers local delicacies, meats, fish, sandwiches, burgers, distilled, cocktails, wines and of course a rich variety of beers. About beers, Café Académico has an exclusive beer: Praxis Académico, a low-alcohol beer crafted specially thinking on the students.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the local beers I asked were not available (the local ones- the waiter said they had had a beer tasting event, yet...), and the chickpeas burger I ordered was burnt on the outside. Nice concept in a place which needed something like this. I may have caught the classical wrong night, after all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to stop after a trip roubd the park. Delicious soup, well seasoned, tasty tosta, wide range of beers though I settled for a Sagres, pleasant view over the praca.
