Foi-nos recomendado a especialidade da casa (peixinhos do rio) por uma senhora que soubemos depois, ser filha do dono e de uma simpatia extrema.
Seguindo a velha maxima em que se existe uma prato que é a especialidade da casa e assim, o seu ex-líbris, fomos servidos com doses generosas de peixinhos do rio em escabeche, acompanhados fartamente de arroz, batatas e salada.
Um belo manjar de um prato peculiar e espetacular.
O preço bastante em conta e um serviço a repetir.
Obrigado pela atenção e por terem recebido tão bem os "conterrâneos" do Vale da Amoreira - Moita.
What a pleasant surprise. We arrived late and we were 7 adults and a child.
The house specialty (fish from the river) was recommended to us by a lady who we later learned was the owner's daughter and was extremely sympathetic.
Following the old maxim in which there is a dish that is the specialty of the house and thus its ex-libris, we were served with generous doses of marinated river fish, abundantly accompanied by rice, potatoes and salad.
A beautiful delicacy of a peculiar and spectacular dish.
The price is very affordable and a service to be repeated.

Simple place with great care from the owners and delicious food. Pasture house located in the Amoreira Valley, Serra da Estrela, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and the bucolic passage of the Zêzere River.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As mentioned the boss speaks French and Portugese... If you don't speak either of those languages he is patient and happy to use gestures and make recommendations. We took his recommendation and while we're not entirely sure what we ate, our meat and bean stew (with salad and rice) was tasty and reasonably priced.
There's some off street parking as well, but we just parked on the side street, behind about five cars with French plates.
