★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here for lunch after hiking. The bacalhau was excellent and the portions were generous. The restaurant was quite popular with locals which is always a good sign.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called in for lunch, steak with creamy mushrooms served with rice and chips, 8 euros per serve, we ordered 2 and it would feed 4 people. Chicken with potatoes and rice, 6 euros and a huge serving. All very tasty and delicious, people serving very, very nice. Cheap beer and coffee. Very close to Lindoso, recommend calling in here after visiting the village, castle and granite grain stores. Highly recommended, very clean. It looks a bit 'local' when you arrive, but not at all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We felt very welcome at cafe mo. The service is very personal and friendly. We are both vegetarian, which can be challenging for typical rural Portuguese kitchen, but we received the best easy and filling warm dinner we could wish for. We came again for the same the next evening :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a real gem of a place just off the GR50 hike. Huge portions served by people who clearly love what they are doing. Lots of locals, including the park rangers eat here which is a great sign. Very good value too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best food and the friendliest staff! Driving up from Lisboa was totally worth it and I know I’ll return because it was simply an amazing experience. I love that it’s also run by women (mom/daughter) and another sweet lady.
