★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent a month at Calcada as a co-living experience, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Tamsin & Andy are beautiful people. They made wonderful hosts, generous in recommendations for the town and always good for life chit chat. The rooms are beautiful & the rooftop was the perfect spot to work in the day & relax in the evening. The town itself is nothing short of lovely and easy to feel at home in no time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend. You won’t find a cleaner room and the hosts are lovely. Great location. Filtered drinking water and the nice coffee machine were nice touches, and we enjoyed the rooftop — it’s a great place to bring your own wine. The breakfast is served (not a buffet), so if you are not a big breakfast eater most of it might go to waste (although the quality is great).

And the place is incredible - really nice rooftop with a great view over Tavira, located right in the city center, perfectly clean and well-maintained. I'm recommending it to all of my friends and family :)

We picked up our rental car at Faro airport with nothing more planned for our two weeks than the first 3 nights at Calçada Guesthouse. We enjoyed it (and Tavira) so much we extended one more night. Wonderful hosts who were very nice and interesting to talk with, lovely breakfast served at the roof terrace. Great tips for restaurants in Tavira.
You need to park your car a few hundred meters away the narrow streets, but that was no problem for us, and the driving instructions worked perfectly.
