Capela de Santa Cruz

Chapel of Santa Cruz, built in the 19th century, a time when the miracle of the appearance of the holy cross drawn on the ground was most widespread in this municipality. Next to this chapel, a little to the south, the walls of a building are partly completed up to the cornice and pyramid, which, still incomplete, due to the proportions it presents, should be grand. Inside there is a vein of darker earth, in the shape of a cross, whose appearance the people attributed to the miraculous cause. In the last decade of the 19th century, there were very important pilgrimages to which the devotees competed with large donations, which were applied in the construction of the projected temple. Although the miracle of the appearance of this cross did not obtain the approval of the ecclesiastical authorities, it was this devotion that cooled down and fell completely, therefore the sumptuous work that was planned was not being realized.
