Very expensive for what you get... Long story short: nobody will receive you to give you the keys: you just walk in. It is not a private home, you will have a resident above your floor and some other holiday renters on the property next to yours. You will have to clean the pool daily from a lot of bugs. There are no supermarkets or coffee shops on a walking distance. Now for the details of our experience: Very poor communication with the owner. We arrived there and nobody came to give us the keys. So we sat outside exhausted from the long trip, trying to call the owner but the phone numbers provided didn't work. After a while a man from the floor above our rental house opens his window and just casually drops on us that the door is open and we can simply walk in. Made us feel ridiculous that we should have known. We did notice the door and windows were open but would you really just simply walk into someone's home and settle down without being sure if you're even on the right place? We later also met a woman that seems to be related to the owner and says she sent us an email about it but that's not true. Plus if you're renting a place and expecting guests you should at least leave a note at the door if you can't meet them there. Or have the phone numbers you gave to the guests actually working. The house itself is alright but the pool even though it's private it isn't secluded.. You will have the guests of the other house in the property sitting on the terrace sipping their morning coffee and cigarette while staring at you bathing. So even though only we got to swim on the pool, it still felt like a public pool rather than a private one. Plus we got lucky and the people renting were some very old French folks but if it was a young family and with kids, would they really not use the pool when it's right there on their backyard as well? I highly doubt it. Even if the owner says the pool isn't included in the price of that other house, I'm sure kids would see you having fun in the pool, ask to join and what would you do? Also be prepared to ALWAYS have to clean it before you dive in as it will be absolutely filled with flying ants, flies and other fellow bugs. For some reason doing this everyday before our swim was quite relaxing and it is quite easy as they are all just floating and the house has the right tools to scoop them out but I'm just warning this here since I do know that for some people this might be something that you're not willing to pay for. When we got there all ready to jump in it was a shock for us as well. Also back to the man living above our rental house, he is a bit weird and even though I think he means well we did feel like it was a bit too much, constantly checking on us and having his face popping on our windows and sometimes inside the front door. He just wanted to give advices or check on us so part of me hates to complain about it but it was just not the time or place for it.. we booked there because we wanted some private and relaxing holidays and instead we felt very observed and exposed. Plus at night and early morning when we were in bed I kept hearing him walking around and opening and closing tons of drawers. Not being picky, just disappointed that the overpriced "private" house with pool we booked is not the quiet heaven we thought it would be. On this note, something worth mentioning is that one of the bedrooms has a window to the back of the house that just looks like a junk yard. I think it's where the man "works", no idea but it did put the guests who slept in that room very off and not being able to open their window or curtains not just due to being a very unpleasant view but because it left them uncomfortable knowing the man could watch their room. There's nothing to do or see nearby to escape from the house a bit... You need to get in the car and drive at least 40 min to get somewhere with places to eat and shop. Sadly we would not recommend this place at all...
