A Casa de Pedra e Cal, situada em Estoi, habilitada para a actividade de Turismo de Habitação, vem por este meio declarar que a partir do dia 1 de Abril de 2020 passou a efectuar a Desinfeção de todas as áreas de habitação afectas aos hóspedes, sempre que se verifica alternância dos mesmos.
Esta operação é realizada com o máximo rigor, seguindo as orientações publicadas pela Direção Geral de Saúde no dia 23 de Março de 2020 e de acordo com os termos da alínea a) do nº 2 do artigo 2º do Decreto Regulamentar nº 14/2012, de 26 de janeiro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un endroit superbe avec des personnes superbes : Fernando et Christina vous accueillent chaleureusement dans une casa spacieuse. Nous avons logé dans le studio mitoyen à la maison face à la très grande et superbe piscine. Tout le confort. Seul bémol est le manque d'éclairage sur la petite table dehors pour dîner à l'extérieur le soir.
 A superb place with great people: Fernando and Christina warmly welcome you in a spacious house. We stayed in the adjoining studio at the house facing the very large and beautiful pool. All the comfort. Only downside is the lack of lighting on the small table outside for dinner outside at night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maravilhoso, anfitriões perfeitos, piscina muito boa para mergulhos e dar umas valentes braçadas, relvado com todas as condições para apanhar sol e descansar. Local para voltar, nem que seja para dar um abraço ao Fernando e à Cristina.
Wonderful, perfect hosts, very good pool for diving and taking a few brave strokes, lawn with all the conditions to sunbathe and rest. Place to return, if only to give Fernando and Cristina a hug.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O espaço é surpreendentemente agradável e relaxante. Desde a muito bonita e original piscina, passando pelo relvado envolvente com plantas e flores, até à casa de temporada, confortável e com tudo o que é necessário para uma família com um cão, (que também adorou a estadia).
As cerejas no topo do bolo são o Fernando e a Cristina, os proprietários. Simplesmente excepcionais na disponibilidade e simpatia.
Sentimos que o carinho com que nos tratam é genuíno.
Por isso vamos voltar nem breve nem que seja para uma escapadinha e …. e visitar os nossos novos amigos.
The space is surprisingly pleasant and relaxing. From the very beautiful and original swimming pool, to the surrounding lawn with plants and flowers, to the holiday home, comfortable and with everything needed for a family with a dog, (who also loved the stay).
The cherries on the cake are Fernando and Cristina, the owners. Simply exceptional in availability and friendliness.
We feel that the affection with which they treat us is genuine.
So we’ll be back soon, even for a short break and…. and visit our new friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa muito quente e as janelas não têm portadas nem sequer estores, a luz entra livremente.
A casa de banho muito rudimentar e está revestida com velhas placas de Lusalite que foram cobertas de tinta branca.
As mobílias de fraca qualidade e o frigorífico "cansado" de uso.
Na parede contígua à casa está um galinheiro e o cheiro é muito mau. Suportei apenas noite da chegada, verifiquei que a fornalha da habitação era impossível de suportar. Aliás, um dos meus cães deixou de comer tal o calor insuportável das instalações, o que motivou a minha saída pela tarde do dia seguinte.
Very hot house and windows do not have shutters or even blinds, light enters freely.
The bathroom is very rudimentary and is covered with old Lusalite boards that have been covered in white paint.
Poor quality furniture and the fridge "tired" of use.
On the wall next to the house is a chicken coop and the smell is very bad. I only endured the night of arrival, I found that the furnace in the room was impossible to bear. As a matter of fact, one of my dogs stopped eating because of the unbearable heat of the premises, which motivated me to leave for the afternoon of the following day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ not for us. not worth the money we paid for 1 room thats it.. .no coffee tea machine .or TV. no clean sheets very misleading. everything else shared.the double room you see .that's it.. very quiet pretty town. but not for me and my partner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic weekend break here. I booked the airport pick up, for a lower price than a taxi. Fernando invited me to his birthday bbq, where I was very well looked after and made to feel like a friend rather than a guest. The holiday flat is a lovely little place right by the pool. As the other accomodation they offer was vacant, I had the pool and garden to myself.
This is great for travellers who want to experience Portuguese culture away from the tourists.
The bus to Faro is a short walk away, not regular at weekends but the bus fare is cheap and the journey approx 25 minutes.
I am booking here again and bringing children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful week staying at Casa de Pedra e Cal. Our apartment was cute but functional and we loved to open the curtains each morning to view the lovely Portuguese sunshine and the pool and gardens. Our hosts were lovely and friendly. From our collection at the airport we felt warmly welcomed by Fernando and Cristina. The location is easy to find and only a 20 minute drive to the airport or 10 or 12 euro in an UBER. Located just outside of Estoi. Which has some café bars and a very nice family restaurant and supermarket within walking distance. This is a very safe gated location with covered parking for guests. To tell you of the wonderful hosts would take forever. They are genuine, friendly generous and charming. They are proud of their place and enjoy sharing it. We enjoyed several pleasant evenings sipping good Portuguese wine eating local seafood and enjoying excellent company. The facilities are comfortable. The pool is big there are sun loungers and shaded areas to read and relax the sunny days away. The bigger town of Tavira and Olhao are short drives away. I would recommend this location.
