Former tavern and family shop converted into, more than a hostel, into a museum with restored furniture and details. It is spectacular!! Both Antonio and his daughter (Isabel) have treated me as 10 !! They are great hosts and the house is a luxury. It exudes a special energy that made me feel at home from the first moment.

Camere grandi e pulite! Uno spettacolo. Consigliatissimo!!!
I stayed in this hotel during my pilgrimage to Fatima about 4 weeks ago. Really special places. The owner is a very helpful person. The house is historic and has belonged to his family for centuries. Big and clean rooms! A show. Highly recommended !!!

Antonio, a Portuguese with Italian roots, converted the old family shop into a wonderful hostel. Ideal stop on the way to Fatima. Lovely atmosphere. Albergue filled with feeling, nostalgia and family past.

We came in on a late Sunday afternoon and the hostess was very gracious and accomodating... the cafe next door cooked us a private dinner and the hostess' husband helped us with reservations for our next night destination.. one of my favorite hostels I have ever stayed in!

This Casa do Adro was the best accommodation in Portugal for me on the way to Santiago de Compostela, actually to the way to Fátima. This place location is 21 km's from Santarém where the Fátima pilgrimage road and the Santiago way splits. The house is from 1584 and it is made by stone and wood and it's decoration was really the music for my eyes and soul. You can see it on my pictures. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast very good and the owners are like from fairly tale. I just feel like to go back and stay there a couple of days and listen the owners stories. Every old object there has a heart and soul and a story behind . I recommend this small and lovely place in the heart of Portugal.

Very welcoming and heartwarming atmosphere. Absolutely clean an tidy but very cosy as well. It has been a pleasure to stay here one night, on my pilgrimage to Fátima. It has been stunning how much effort the owners spend to renovate this traditional portuguese house from 1585 without losing the soul of this cute, awesome space <3 I' ll definitley come back at my next caminho. Muito, muito obrigada!
