Casa Do Mar Nazaré

The host is very friendly, take time for there guest, have many information and tipps about Nazare and about the surfing area, cause Adriano almost surfing in Nazare. The rooms are simple, but almost okay, cause the price is okay. The location is near by the farol and the praia do norte, silent and easy to find a parking place for your car - recommended.

Very friendly and cosy place for a sleepover or a long Stay. The location is also perfect, you get the best of two worlds: walking distance to the "giant waves" spot, and away enough enough from Nazaré beach nightlife, allowing to have a quite and silent rest, but just at 1 minute walking from the funicular (cable car) to get there and party if you are in the mood too,or just wish to go to the downtown.

The best hostel ever! Clean, cozy, with so many beautiful details! The rooms are big, kitchen area is lovely and clean with a lot of facilities! Nice bathroom and terrace! Highly recommended! Will be back for sure!

Visit 23/01/2022. Room booked : studio. This stay was to me really disappointing for several reasons. The main one was the heater. It was not working and the night was very cold. I wrote a message in the evening. The day after I also mentionned it and it was found out - by the lady also - that the heater was broken. Adding to the lack of heating, the place itself is really not adapted for winter stay due to the lack of isolation and humidity. It was asked to keep the windows opened while showering to avoid this phenomena adding cold in the room. The electricity did not work well. My mobile was not charged. The water in the shower was quickly cold. The sound isolation is un existing. Possible to follow any conversation from outside. There is a window on the main door with no curtain that gives to a automatic outside light that turn off and on according to movements during the night which is also disturbing. The bed sheet did not look fresh at all. And the shower wall and curtains had some black spots. So It could make one not feel safe during pandemic time. I initially booked for 2 nights and stay only for 1. I asked for a refund of the second night which has been denied as the owner said "I have tax to pay". I received apologies but no money. These are the reasons why I really not recommand you this place. Fortunately I found another one very close to the beach. At this time of the year, for the same price, you can find 2 or 3 stars hotel with breakfast included, then at the end less expensive than this one that even not make a cofee available in the morning. I trusted comments on Googlemaps to book this place. I should not have. Comments on booking.com are rather different and maybe more reliable as only people who have actually stayed there are allowed to write them.

Great check-in service and easy access. Good communication with the owner before our arrival. The restaurant they recommended was great.
