★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We woke up at night (2:30am) with our body and faces covered in ants. We had to move in the middle of the night to another room. The room was very hot and it took a while to cool it by the airconditioning. Resulting in a short nightsleep…
When we checked out, the receptionist said nothing, when we told her again, she said ‘I know’. We didn’t received any compensation and the manager refused to speak to us (while he was just sitting doing nothing in the room next to us). UNACCEPTABLE.
Also the breakfast was very basic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was there for 5 nights and was not impressed. The facilities look old. It seemed clean enough but not to the best standards (there was never a clean smell, for instance).
We had an ant problem in the room in oir room in the 1st floor. They were in the bed, luggage, etc.
It is also a bit noisy (just in front of a square where children tend to gather) and the people upstairs liked to move things around. This was solved with earplugs.
The food was alright, and the staff was mostly very friendly. Dinner service was quick.
It is overall good service for the price. Wouldn't stay again, as I would prefer to pay a bit more to get a better experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a 3-star hotel offering 5-star service. My family had a lovely 4-night stay (we have 2 boys, 3&5 yrs). Charming, exceptionally clean, impressed how accommodating & professional the staff were, they also have a heated indoor / outdoor pool & only 100 meter walk to the gorgeous beach. Only slight disadvantage is that whenever someone walks/ talks on the hallway it’s very audible, but not disruptive. And of all the hotels in the area this appears to be the only one with character, the rest are generic chains and bland-looking.
Loved Casablanca Inn, and thanks again to the friendly staff they were superb. Gives us a solid reason to come back to Algarve.
