Lots of green, river nearby, cozy little town, happy people..
A lot of small street's, not so easy to walk because of all the hill's but still worth the trip.
Lots of good restaurants, excellent food's, and great wines to try out around here..tapas is a must-have, and the typical Portuguese cafe's are pleasant and cheerful...
Beautiful architecting in the main square area.
Children friendly, not so friendly for people with wheelchair...Lots of old roads and small street's with old floors.
Great views for photography enthusiasts!!
Try out the restaurant: Terra Utópica! It's wonderful and they have a genius in that kitchen!! ?

Lots to see and a great meal in a local Portuguese restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From this castle you can have the best view of the city. You can go by walk from the bridge and enjoy the city. Now the castle is closed because of COVID, but even so, visit it worth it. If you want to wake up with a nice view of the castle, I suggest you book a room at Quinta do Vau.

When you get into the keep you can see the video of the history of the castle, it’s totally worth it!
It is a very beautiful place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical location, dating back to 312 BC. Castle is awesome and its overlooking the city. Also a Mosque was turned into a catholic church ⛪ and they kept the beautiful architectural details of the Mosque, very beautiful.
