A Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics abriu ao público o seu primeiro programa de Gestão em 1972 e tornou-se uma faculdade independente dentro da Universidade em 1989, através da fusão dos departamentos de Gestão e Economia. Em 1991 lançou o seu primeiro programa de MBA e mais tarde, em 1992 os primeiros programas Executivos. Em 1997, a escola lançou o seu primeiro programa de Executivos em Angola.
Em 2007, a CATÓLICA-LISBON lançou o seu primeiro MSc já depois do Tratado de Bolonha, o famoso Lisbon MBA e o seu programa de PhD em parceria com a Carnegie Mellon University. A escola recebeu também pela primeira vez o Triple Crown Accreditation e apareceu pela primeira vez, e como a primeira escola portuguesa no Ranking do Financial Times, onde se mantem até aos dias de hoje.
Atualmente, a escola é reconhecida como a melhor faculdade de Gestão e de Economia de Portugal. Encontra-se em 28.º lugar na classificação do prestigiado Ranking do Financial Times de 2018, mantendo a sua reputação através da constante inovação no ensino e na área da investigação.
 The Portuguese Catholic University is the only university in the country founded by the Catholic Church under a bankruptcy. The Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics opened its first Management program to the public in 1972 and became an independent faculty within the University in 1989, through the merger of the Management and Economics departments. In 1991 it launched its first MBA program and later, in 1992, the first Executive programs. In 1997, the school launched its first Executive program in Angola.
In 2007, CATÓLICA-LISBON launched its first MSc after the Treaty of Bologna, the famous Lisbon MBA and its PhD program in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University. The school also received Triple Crown Accreditation for the first time and appeared for the first time, and as the first Portuguese school in the Financial Times Ranking, where it remains until today.
Currently, the school is recognized as the best Faculty of Management and Economics in Portugal. It is in 28th place in the ranking of the prestigious Financial Times Ranking of 2018, maintaining its reputation through constant innovation in teaching and research.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Faculdade que já teve melhores dias. Propinas dentro da média e bolsas para os melhores alunos com vantagens, o que permite que o aluno se esforce mais! Os cursos de gestão e direito têm qualidade, mas ficam a perder face à novasbe em carcavelos. Nos localização, facidade de transportes, restauração nas imediações e parque de estacionamento da universidade.
College that has had better days. Average fees and scholarships for the best students with advantages, allowing the student to work harder! The courses in management and law are of good quality, but they are losing out against the novabe in caravels. In the location, ease of transport, catering in the immediate vicinity and car park of the university.
