No decorrer da história, Deus enviou à humanidade uma série de Educadores divinos — conhecidos como Manifestantes de Deus — cujos ensinamentos estabeleceram as bases para o avanço da civilização. Esses Manifestantes incluem Abraão, Krishna, Zoroastro, Moisés, Buda, Jesus e Muhammad. Bahá’u’lláh, o mais recente desses Mensageiros, explicou que as religiões do mundo provêm da mesma Fonte e em essência são sucessivos capítulos de uma única religião proveniente de Deus.
