J	Jenna Sunshine on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE NICEST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED AT!! There was soooo much love put into making this place amazing. Everything is soooo well thought out with a keen attention to detail, focusing on luxury, comfort, and pampering. There is a beautiful wedding & event area, which I highly recommend you consider if you're looking to book event space. The rooms & bathrooms are beautiful & there are so many little details to fall in love with: antiques & beautiful artwork in the rooms & hallways; beautiful stone in the bathrooms (marble I think?) & the towels are large and plush; we had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden; the breakfast is a delicious buffet of assorted fruits, meats, pastries, yogurt, etc in a beautiful victorian sitting room. There is an on-site spa offering massages and such which unfortunately I didn't have time to try, but I saw the spa, and like everything else, it's beautiful. You must take a walk in the enchanted garden, a lovely set of paths set high atop the property, from which you can see the entire area or sit and read. The owner is a wonderful woman that cares about every single guest having a truly nice experience at her property and puts SO much love and effort into making this a perfect destination. The overnight employee is also very kind and is the one who sets up the delicious breakfast in the morning. I ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY recommend you stay here. As I always mention in my reviews when relevant, going here supports a small, minority, female owned business.

Starting from the instant confort you feel as soon as you get into the house, it was late at night when we arrived and quite chilled outside, but as soon as we got into the house it was warm and very very comfortable. The high ceilings, the furniture, the decoration was overwhelming. But the best was yet to come. The absolutely beautiful, comfortable and spacious rooms together with the quietness were the perfect conditions to a great night sleep. In the morning we were, again, surprised by the quality and diversity of everything in the breakfast. Definitely a place I highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Pedro was very welcoming and provided many tips for the city. Our room and the common areas were relaxing and well appointed. The hotel gave us two restful nights of quiet slumber. Plus, the breakfast was delicious! We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We were late on the check in day, however the host stay late to welcome us in the mansion. Very friendly staff and provided us many travel information about the city. The Challet Fonte Nova is located in the easy access location, and is just few minutes walking distance from the city centre. Breakfast is well prepared, set and delicious. We only stay for one night, but for this excellent facility and service we should stay longer. Highly recommend. Thank you.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, the withe embroidered linen and high-end delicious smelling toiletries. The breakfast is complete with eggs, tropical fruit, fresh baked home made cake, deliciously presented. The library, the living rooms, all the house full of beautiful fresh flowers details... If you book with one day or so, you can profit from a relaxing massage in a relaxing proper environment! Located in the center of Portugal, easy access to beach and places of historic interest to visit is perfect to be your “home” while exploring the country. One special thanks for the warm and elegant reception by the host and all staff! Definitely a place to come back!!!!

The staff are amongst the most charitable and warm I have met in any setting, carefully attending to all our questions and anticipating our every need. Memories of this place with my partner will forever be etched into my heart and on the cusp of leaving I find myself planning my return.
