★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No cemitério junto à igreja foram encontradas diversas estelas baixo-medievais, atualmente expostas no Museu Municipal Prof. Joaquim Vermelho. O primitivo templo, em estilo gótico, encontra-se referido em 1320 sob a invocação de S. Pedro de Fora. Foi modificada no século XV, quando recebeu o alpendre, e no século XVI quando foi erguida uma nova Capela-mor, após o terramoto de 1531.
 In the cemetery next to the church were found several low-medieval steles, currently exposed in the Municipal Museum Prof. Red Joaquim. The primitive temple, in Gothic style, is mentioned in 1320 under the invocation of S. Pedro de Fora. It was modified in the fifteenth century when it received the porch, and in the sixteenth century when a new main chapel was erected after the earthquake of 1531.
