I’ve visited the restaurant last night with my family after reading the positive reviews. Our experience was not at all good, we were quickly sat down and everything was rushed, we ordered starters which they forgot to bring befor we know it our mains was on the table. The chicken didn’t have much flavour and the prawns was dry and flavourless..and then we only saw there waiter when it was time to pay. I’ve had much better food and service elsewhere. We are on holiday from the Uk, so we rely on reviews to find the best restaurants. Some work and some don’t..

The food is fine. But be careful with what the waiters put on the table: bread and cheese and other things you actually did not order. It looks like a compliment, but in reality it is to play for. They will maybe ask you if you want or not. In my case they just put it on my table as a conpliment while I waited for the dishes. So, beware. There are too many good places beside this one.

Food was not that great. It was plain and the portions was a real rip off. They state that each chicken portion is a 1/2 a chicken.... Yes... Baby chickens as the actual sizes of the chicken are so small... I stress the fact that they are not from grown chickens. The drumsticks were smaller than my thumb. The photos are up to scale for you to see. I was there with a group of 4 and it seemed that none of us were impressed. Would not recommend.

This place is amazing! Was on holiday and stumbled across this place online. Decided to give it a go. The other reviews are right about the small (ish) 1/2 size which would probably be good for lunch. I immediately ordered another half and it was just right. So my girlfriend and I half 1 and a half chicken between us... The menu is a no nonsense menu. They know what they do best and it was not a disappointment. The chicken is cooked to perfection, quite salty but it works with the garlicky oil/juices... Save the bread to dip into the chicken juices! We enjoyed it that much we decided to go back for our last meal before we headed back to the UK.

Probably the best food I've had in the Algarve. Piri piri chicken was on point and the service was splendid!

Quite simply the best place for Portuguese Piri Piri chicken in the Algarve. I fly all the way from the UK to eat here. Their menu is simple (chicken and prawns) and the staff are very friendly and fantastic. Absolutely recommended if you are in the Algarve.

Highly recommend this restaurant. I lived in Portugal from 1995-2004 and this was one of my regular restaurants to dine at. Whenever I’m back in Portugal for holidays I always make time to have lunch or dinner here. Staff are very pleasant and most are working here for many years. Service is excellent too.

Fantastic restaurant, food and service. Firstly let me say a few things about other reviews and comments to straighten things out! The staff do not try and trick you into having the the bread and cheese ? starter, they ask if you if you want it or not! Say yes, you get fantastic bread ? and cheese ? that you HAVE to pay for! Why would you think food is free? Say no, you don’t get it, you don’t pay ? Pretty simple really!! Next people complain about the size of the chicken ? portions. To be clear, this restaurant specialises in Piri Piri chicken, to get the best most tender chicken, the chicken is a smaller chicken to make it more juicy, if you want chicken pieces the size of a duck ? stick to rubbish nandos! < that is not authentic piri piri! Now the review. Firstly the place is always spotlessly clean, for people petrified by Covid, all the tables are socially distanced and rules adhered to. The staff, mostly have been there for years, all friendly, none intrusive and straight to you if you need something, the staff are great ? Now the menu is small, but if you’re coming here I think you’d know this, don’t complain after! The tomato ? and onion ? salad ? is a lovely side to the chicken and fries ? The fries are lovely and crispy and when you’ve eaten some of the chicken they are perfect to dip in the excess piri piri oil, just me you’ll love it. Now the chicken ? The chicken is simply the best, if you want chicken breast or you don’t like eating chicken off the bone ? then this place ISN’T for you, if you don’t mind bones you’ll eat some of the best chicken anywhere in the world. The piri oil mixed with grilled bbq style cooking makes the chicken simply mouthwatering, you will fight over the last piece ? but you can always order more for takeaway and have it for lunch the next day. As the portion size is something people have complained about here is what we have. It’s €7 for half of a “small” chicken, not enough, so my wife and I order 4 portions of chicken, that’s 2 whole “small” chickens, the perfect amount for two. So 4 portions of chicken, salad, fries, bottle of wine and several beers (lost count) cost us £45, that divided by two is £22.50 each for a delicious meal with wine and beer, sounds fair enough to me. So don’t expect platefuls of food for €10 like many tourist menus, expect a restaurant full of Portuguese people that know where the best chicken in town is.
