This clinic helped me out of my horrible pain - when my neck "locked" and I had a muscle "knot" under my right shoulder blade... This lovely young woman, Carina, knows exactly what she is doing, and I can not reommend her highly enough. Also, the paperwork the clinic presented to me was accepted by the Norwegian health system when I got home, and I was reimbursed according to Norwegian rules... How about that!!

I want to give Clinica Da Dor my best recommendations. I found the clinic when going to Portugal to recover from complicated disc herniations. I had a lot of pain and my muscles were sore and tender. The staff is so friendly and professional. As I went there, they had two (now I believe they have 3) therapists. They are all skilled, well educated and certified; each of them with their «personal touch» or approach. Wonderful Carina – always listening to the patients and open minded, always in dialogue with the patient about the treatment and curious to take in experiences you can bring from back home, as well as adding her skills. She is also into Yoga and the wholeness of the human body/mind, which I believe is deeply connected. Carina got me back on my feets and my I had my energy returning. The other physio I had is Gonçalo. Also, very welcoming and professional; an eager educated physio/osteo studying to be a clinical doctor. He did some magical moves that had my tender and sore muscles relax for the first time in 10 years (!). His cross over background was really an advantage for my complicated situation. At the front desk, the always smiling receptionists greets you welcome. Bring your illness history from your doctors or physio from back home – or MRI-scans or X-rays. They will dig into it. This place is a seldom finding! If you want to get well – get there. They offer single treatments, but you can also order packs, 5 treatments or 10 treatments. I went for 10 treatments x 2 as I was in Portugal two times this winter due to my herniations (from Norway, so it was too cold for me to train/exercise here). 10 treatments costed me € 180 - € 18 for each treatment, which I believe is a very decent price. They also were very flexible about finding space for me, going there 3 times a week. Be sure to communicate with them what works for you, as they really listen! All the best to Clinica Da Dor!!!

Great friendly and professional staff who are always happy and flexible with treatments. Still having treatment, but the improvement in the short time I have been with them is amazing. Won’t be long, I hope, before I have enough strength back in my leg to be able to go up the stairs without crutches, and see the beautiful Tavira views from our rooftop.

After a bad fracture in my right overarm, I needed physiotherapy during our vacation in Tavira. I was lucky to find Clínica da Dór e Reabilitação where physical therapist Carla managed to cure my arm during only 6 weeks. I was a bit worried when we started the treatment, but she had the necessary knowledge about this problem. Back in Norway my doctor is impressed by the result, but said that physiotherapy is often different and better in your country. I have now no more pain and I am back to normal use of my arm. I miss Carla … she is not only sweet and speaks fluently english … she is an amazing physical therapist, using both manual methods, herbal massage, technical equipment and made me do a lot of exercise ... magic for me. Excellent physiotherapy clinic in the ancient heart of Tavria, Algarve, Portugal. All employees speak English very well, from reception to the the therapists. The therapist listens to your issue and progress regularly and very well. If it is too painful, they just scale back and give it some more time. The clinic has all the modern tools and treatment machines you will ever need (including laser and ultrasound) to make a quick recovery. There is a fully equipped gym for all your exercises. The more treatments you need, the lower their price, so need to be a Scrooge to get a full and quick recovery.

I had a broken wrist, so urgently needed physio. I was so pleased to find this clinic. Thanks to Carla and all her dedication and patience along with her great sense of humour she helped me get through the pain barrier and recovery on my wrist. Highly recommend.

My experience at the clinic was excellent. I found Carla knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Sylvia, who runs the clinic is very approachable, happy and makes the entire process easier. The clinic is conveniently located in downtown Tavira. The treatments were cost effective. I walked away feeling much better. Thank you for all you do.
