About Club Sport Fishing and Boating - Albufeira

Este Clube é uma associação desportiva sem fins lucrativos, que tem por fins a promoção cultural, recreativa e desportiva dos associados e defesa do meio ambiente marítimo e zonas adjacentes.

É Instituição Desportiva de Utilidade Pública, pela declaração nº 29/2004, publicada em Diário da República nº 42, de 19 de Fevereiro de 2004.

A sua sede situa-se na estrada do Farol, Sítio da Orada, numa zona aprazível e fora do ambiente citadino, perto das instalações do porto de recreio (Marina), foi inaugurada em 18 de Janeiro de 1996 e, constitui motivo de orgulho permitindo ao Clube maior autonomia no desenvolvimento das suas actividades. É um edifício de dois pisos envolvido por uma zona ajardinada e com parque de estacionamento. Sendo o primeiro piso destinado a actividades sociais, recreativas e culturais onde estão instalados um restaurante bar com amplas esplanadas, uma loja de lembranças e o Oceanário. No segundo piso temos dois salões polivalentes (onde se efectuam exposições, palestras, aulas…), a Biblio Videoteca, balneários, 3 gabinetes das secções, a Secretaria e a Direcção. Está projectado para o 1º Piso a instalação de um bar para sócios, num dos Salões polivalentes.

T	Teresa Guimarães on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a very pleasant lunch. We ask a suggestion for the waiter and he advised us a nice meal. The food was delicious, the service was good and the place was nice. You need to arrive early to get a table or you can call and make a reservation. The restaurant was full.
N	Nuno Sequeira on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect local restaurant to eat seafood and grilled fish. Always super fresh. They also do other types of dishes e.g. meat (bitoque). I usually go there to eat clams (Conquilhas or Amêijoas) as starters and then go for the catch of the day as main dish. Their deserts are good too. My favourite is Mouse de Chocolate (homemade chocolate mousse). The staff is usually friendly and I always trust their recommendations.

However, the service is extremely slow so be prepared to wait some time - we waited around 45 minutes just to be served. Locals get preferential treatment so expect to be frustrated with the service but the food compensates for it.

With the Portuguese people the waiter is making jokes and talking but others get ignored. So - 3 stars for the service. We waited for almost 1½ Hours for the food. When we asked for desserts we never got any card to check what they have so we left it out and paid.

We took a red mullet and a sea bass, the latter unfortunately was prepared a little bit dry in the end. The side dishes were really great, vegetables, salad, bread and excellent cheese. The wine was a bit sour. Nonetheless a place you should definitely try out!

You can't go far wrong with anything here, although not the cheapest place the quality is hard to beat. Certainly worth a visit if you like good seafood.
